About The Gardens: The Geelong Botanical Gardens are located in Eastern Park off Botanic Drive in Geelong. The gardens are a fantastic mix of exotic and native trees and plants all in the one area for you to wander around and enjoy. Dogs must be on a leash in all areas of the gardens and also kept to the paths. The Geelong Botanical Gardens are open daily from 7.30am to 5pm week days and 7.30am to 7pm on weekends and public holidays. How to get there: The Geelong Botanical Gardens are located in Geelong on Melways Map 452 F4. The gardens are 76 kilometers south west of Melbourne and located a short walk from the Geelong CBD. From Melbourne drive south west on the M1 towards Geelong, turn left into Bell Parade and right into The Esplanade. Follow The Esplanade along the coast until you reach the parking area on Botanic Drive in Eastern Park just outside the Botanical Gardens.
Facilities: Parking available in car park on Botanic Drive and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Walking Trails - located throughout the gardens Dog Poo Bins - located near the toilet areas in the gardens - please remember to take your own plastic bags and pick up after your dog Toilets - there are toilets located in the Botanic Gardens Picnic Areas - located throughout the gardens Extra Information / On Leash Walk Sheet Download: The Geelong Botanical Gardens are open daily from 7.30am to 5pm week days and 7.30am to 7pm on weekends and public holidays. Please make sure that you pick up after your dog while in the gardens - this is important as we wish to keep the Botanical Gardens on our dog friendly listing. Please ensure that dogs are kept away from BBQ areas and children's play equipment - this is a requirement in most council areas in Victoria. When using on leash dog parks remember that not everyone likes to interact with dogs. Please ensure that dogs are kept on a leash at all times in these parks and that you remember to pick up after your dog.
