About The Park:

Bald Hill Park is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Inverness Street in Clarinda.  This park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions.  The park is easily accessed by public transport and by car.  Bald Hill Park is a great place for dogs as the off leash area is away from main roads and there is plenty of room for the dogs to run around.  

How to get there:

Bald Hill Park is located in Clarinda on Melways Map 78 J4 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders Street Station catch the Pakenham Train from platform 6 to Clayton Railway Station.  Once at Clayton Railway Station catch the 631 Bus toward Southlands and get off at Bunny Street and Viney Street. Bald Hill Park is located across from the bus stop.

Families travelling by car can park near the reserve in Inverness Street.  Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Bald Hill Park - check signs for parking restrictions.

Facilities:

Parking available off Inverness Street and in surrounding residential streets.  Please check signage before leaving your car.

Dog poo bins are located near the toilets - no plastic bags are available so please remember to take your own.

Toilets are located in the northern part of the park

BBQs and picnic areas are located to the north of the park just off Raleigh Street

Children's Play Equipment is located near the BBQ and picnic area

Walking and cycling trails run through Bald Hill Park to the west

Closest Bus stop to Bald Hill Park is located on the corner of Bunney Street and Viney Street

When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands.

When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs.  Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together. 

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around.
