About The Park: Belmont Park is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Oakdale Avenue in Balwyn. This park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. Belmont Park is easily accessed from Mont Albert Road and has a large grassed area for dogs to exercise off leash. How to get there: Belmont Park is located in Balwyn on Melways Map 46 B8 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Epping Train from platform 1 to North Richmond Station. Once at North Richmond catch the 109 Tram towards Boxhill and get off at stop 45 Hardwicke Street and Whitehorse Road. Belmont Park is a short 500 meter walk south on Belmont Avenue and Oakdale Avenue. Families travelling by car can park near Belmont Park on Oakdale Avenue. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Belmont Park - check signs for parking restrictions. ![]() Facilities: Parking available near Belmont park on Oakdale Avenue and in surrounding residential streets. When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.
