Council Area: About The Reserve: King Street Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off King Street in Balwyn. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. This reserve is quite small when compared to other off leash parks and reserves in the area but is quite a good place to visit as it is not as popular as other parks. King Street Reserve links to other dog off leash areas in the Balwyn area. How to get there: King Street Reserve is located in Balwyn on Melways Map 46 A6 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Epping Train from platform 1 to North Richmond Station. Once at North Richmond catch the 109 Tram towards Boxhill and get off at stop 43 Deepdene Shopping Centre and Whitehorse Road. King Street Reserve is a short 600 meter walk north on Leonard Street and Gordon Street. Families travelling by car can park near King Street Reserve on King Street. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding King Street Reserve - check signs for parking restrictions. ![]() Facilities: Parking available near King Street Reserve on King Street and in surrounding residential streets. When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together. Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around. |
