About The Reserve:

Warner Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Alamein Avenue in Ashburton.  This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions except during sporting events mainly on the weekends.  The reserve is located close to another dog friendly park - Markham Avenue Reserve and is accessible by public transport and by car.  This park is a great place for dogs as the off leash part is a large grassed area with some facilities available to dog owners.

How to get there:

Warner Reserve is located in Ashburton on Melways Map 60 E11 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders Street Station catch the Lilydale Train from Platform 2.  Get off at Camberwell Station and catch the Alamein Train from Platform 3 to Alamein.  From Alamein Station the reserve is a short 300 meter walk from the station down Alamein Avenue.

Families travelling by car can park in the reserve car park off Samarinda Avenue.  Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.

Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download:

Warner Reserve is just west of Ashwood Reserve - another dog friendly reserve

This Reserve may be unavailable for off leash activities during sporting events.

When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands.

When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs.  Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around.
