Council Area: About The Reserve: Ballam Park is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Cranbourne Road in Frankston. This park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions except for sports training and game times. The park is part of Frankstons sports precinct and is accessible by public transport and by car. This park is a great place for dogs as the area is quite large and there are also facilities for the kids. How to get there: Ballam Park is located in Frankston on Melways Map 103 B4 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Frankston Train from platform 8 to Frankston Station. Once in Frankston catch the 790 Bus toward Cranbourne and get off at the Ballam Park / Cranbourne Road Stop. Ballam Park is located across from the bus stop. Families travelling by car can park in the car park off Cranbourne Road or across from the reserve in Karingal Drive. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Ballam Park - check signs for parking restrictions. ![]() Facilities: Parking available in the car park off Cranbourne Road and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Dog poo bins are located near the toilet facilities in the park - no plastic bags are available so please remember to take your own. BBQs are located to the south of Ballam Park - these BBQs are all electric Toilets are located in the north, central and southern parts of Ballam Park Children's Play Equipment is located in the south of the park just of Cranbourne Road Walking Tracks - mainly for access to the different areas of the park Ballam Park has two soccer grounds, two ovals and an athletics track Closest Bus stop to Ballam Park is located on Cranbourne Road Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download: Ballam Park is used all year round by sporting clubs - please consider sporting activities when exercising your dog off leash in this park. When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together. Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around. |
