About The Reserve: Banksia Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Tramway Parade in Beaumaris. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions except for sports training times. The reserve is accessible by public transport and by car. Banksia Reserve is a great place for dogs as the area is quite large and the reserve is close to other dog friendly places such as Beaumaris Beach to the south of the reserve. How to get there: Banksia Reserve is located in Beaumaris on Melways Map 86 E7 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders street station catch the Frankston Train from Platform 8 to Cheltenham Train Station. Once in Cheltenham catch the 600 Bus towards St Kilda and get off at the corner of Tramway Parade and Cromb Avenue. Banksia Reserve is a 100 meter walk from the bus stop. Families travelling by car can park in the reserve car park off Oak Street. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available in the reserve car park off Oak Street and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.
