About The Reserve: George Woods Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Governor Road in Aspendale. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions except for sports training times. The reserve is accessible by public transport and by car. George Woods Reserve is a great place for dogs as the area is quite large and the reserve is close to other dog friendly places in Aspendale such as Aspendale Beach. How to get there: George Woods Reserve is located in Aspendale on Melways Map 92 G2 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders street station catch the Frankston Train from Platform 8 to Mordialloc Train Station. Once in Mordialloc George Woods Reserve is a short walk from the station down Park Street and Governor Drive. Families travelling by car can park in the reserve car park off Governor Road. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available in the reserve car park off Governor Road and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Dog Poo Bins - located near the toilets - please take your own plastic bags as there are none available Toilets - located to the west of the reserve near the BBQ area BBQs - located to the west of the dog off leash area Walking and Cycling trails - run along the Mordialloc Creek area of the reserve Children's Play Equipment - located near the BBQ area George Woods Reserve also has a skate ramp and scout hall Closest train station to George Woods Reserve is Mordialloc Station Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download: George Woods Reserve may be unavailable during sporting eventsWhen using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.
