About The Park:

Lawson Park is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Leon Avenue in Rosebud.  This park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions except for sports training times.  The park is accessible by public transport and by car.  Lawson Park is a great place for dogs as the area is quite large and there is plenty of room to run around.

How to get there:

Lawson Park is located in Rosebud on Melways Map 170 F1 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders street station catch the Frankston Train from Platform 8 to Seaford Train Station.  Once in Seaford catch the 780 Bus towards Frankston and get off at the Nepean Hwy and Playne Street stop.  Catch the 788 Bus towards Portsea and get off at Point Nepean Road and Rosebud Parade.  Lawson Park is a short 1 kilometer walk down Jetty Road.

Families travelling by car can park across from the park in Leon Avenue.  Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the park - check signs for parking restrictions.

Parking available across from the park in Leon Avenue and in surrounding residential streets.  Please check signage before leaving your car.

Closest Bus stop to Lawson Park is located on the corner of Point Nepean Road and Rosebud Parade

The off leash area for Lawson Park is a large grassed area

When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands.

When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs.  Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together. 

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around.
