About The Reserve:

Royal Avenue Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Royal Avenue in Sandringham.  This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions.  The reserve is easily accessed by public transport and by car and is quite a large area suitable for dogs that need space to run around.

How to get there:

Royal Avenue Reserve is located in Sandringham on Melways Map 76 J12 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders Street Station catch the Sandringham Train from platform 13 to Hampton Railway Station.  Once at Hampton Railway Station catch the 922 Bus towards Southlands Shopping Centre and get off at the Council Chambers on Royal Avenue.  Royal Avenue Reserve is across the road.

Families travelling by car can park near the reserve in the car park off Royal Avenue.  Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Royal Avenue Reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.

Facilities:

Parking available in the car park on Royal Avenue and in surrounding residential streets.  Please check signage before leaving your car.

Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download:

When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands.

When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs.  Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together. 

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around.
