Blayney is a town of 3,000 population, located in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, some three and half hours by road from the centre of Sydney. It is the centre of a closely settled and populous district, which stretches east to Bathurst, southwest to Cowra and north to Orange. Blayney is a comfortable 25 minutes drive to Bathurst - population 33,000 and to Orange - population 34,000. Dog Registration Requirements:
Blayney Shire Council requires all dogs over the age of 12 weeks to be registered and microchiped. Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.
Number of Dogs Permitted Per House hold:
Blayney Shire Council does not have a limit to the number of dogs per household on non farming land providing that the dogs are not a nuisance through inadequate containment, noise and bad hygiene.
