The areas in and around the Goldfields are home to great places to take the dog and the family for a great day, weekend or holiday.  Places such as Ballarat and Bendigo are great to walk around as much of the architecture of these towns is a legacy of the Gold Rush period and best of all it is free to walk around and check it out.

The major towns in the Goldfields such as Ballarat have some great places to take dogs such as the Botanical Gardens and the park areas around the lake.
