General Information:
Hepburn
Shire Council covers an area just over 1400 square kilometers and is
located just over an hour north of Melbourne. The Hepburn area is
known most for its mineral springs and the lush areas of native
forests. The areas local economy has traditionally been based on
agricluture and forestry but the increase in people visiting the area
to expereince the mineral springs has lead to a steady increase in
toursim through out the Hepburn area.

Dog Registration Requirements:
Hepburn Shire Council requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to be
registered. Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag
is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids
in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.
Number of Dogs Permitted Per House hold:
Hepburn Shire Council allows a maximum number of 2 dogs per household on non farming land.
