Horsham Rural City Council is one of Victoria's largest council areas
covering just over 4200 square kilometers. The council area is located
in Victoria's Wimmera region 3 hours drive north west of Melbourne and
next to the Grampians Nation Park. The local economy of the area is
derived mainly from broad acre farming and Horsham is an important hub
for retail and services for the Wimmera region.

Dog Registration Requirements:
Horsham Rural City Council requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to be
registered. Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag
is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids
in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.
Number of Dogs Permitted Per House hold:
Horsham Rural City Council allows a maximum number of 2 dogs per household on non farming land.
