Knox City Council is another of Victoria's smaller residential council
areas covering just over 100 square kilometers. Located to the east of
Melbourne Knox City Council has experienced explosive residential
growth over the last 20 - 25 years. The area has a large residentail
base but there has also been growth in business, retail and
manufacturing which is important to the local economy of this area.

Dog Registration Requirements:
Knox City Council requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to be
registered. Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag
is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids
in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.
Number of Dogs Permitted Per House hold:
Knox City Council allows a maximum number of 2 dogs per household on non farming land.
