General Information:

 

Moreland City Council covers an area just over 50 square kilometres and in located 5 kilometres from Melbourne to the north.  The council area has a mix of residential and industrial areas with major retailing also Sydney Road to the north.  Moreland City Council is also home to the decommissioned Pentridge Prison and also the main crematorium in Melbourne at Fawkner.

Dog Registration Requirements:

 

Moreland City Council requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to be registered.  Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.

Moreland City Council allows a maximum number of 2 dogs per household on non farming land.

Animal Release Requirements:
