Wodonga City Council covers an area just over 430 square kilometers and is located in Victoria's north on the New South Wales border.  This council area is a mix of urban and rural land with the main urban centre the city of Wodonga.  Wodonga has close ties with Aulbury on the other side of the border and the two cities are both centres for manufacturing and retail trade.

Dog Registration Requirements:
 
Wodonga City Council requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to be registered.  Once the dog is registered with the council a unique tag is issued to the owner to be placed on the dogs collar. This tag aids in the prompt return of dogs that may be found wandering.
 
Number of Dogs Permitted Per House hold:
 
Wodonga City Council allows a maximum number of 2 dogs per household on non farming land.

Animal Release Requirements:
  • All dogs and cats over the age of 3 months must be registered with Council prior to release.
  • Owner identification is required at release.
