About The Gardens:

George Tindale Garden is an on leash dog area that is located off Sherbrooke Road in Sherbrooke.  The Gardens are open all year round (except Christmas Day) with opening times from 10am to 5pm.  The Gardens have many walking tracks and a few interesting stops including the towering mountain ash which provide a canopy for a variety of floral highlights such as camellias and hydrangeas.  George Tindale Garden is a great place for dog walking as the area is quite large and the walking tracks are well marked.

How to get there:

George Tindale Garden is located in Sherbrooke on Melways Map 75 H2 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders Street Station catch the Belgrave Train from Platform 2 and get off at Belgrave Station.  Once at Belgrave catch the 694 Bus towards Mount Dandenong and get off at the corner of George Road and Sherbrooke Road. The entrance to George Tindale Garden is located 300 meters walk from the bus stop down Sherbrooke Road.

Families travelling by car can park in the reserve car park opposite Braeside Avenue - check signs for parking restrictions.

Facilities:

Parking available in reserve car park opposite Braeside Avenue.  Please check signage before leaving your car.

Dog poo bins - the gardens have no dog poo bins rubbish is to be taken with you when leaving - no plastic bags are available so please remember to take your own.

Toilets are located near the car park area at the entrance to the gardens

Baby changing facilities are located near the toilets at the entrance to the gardens 

There is water available in the Gardens but it is recommended that you carry your own supply (for you and the dog) 

Walking paths - located throughout the gardens

Closest Bus stop to George Tindale Gardens is located on the corner of George Road and Sherbrooke Road.

There is an admission charge to gain entry to the park:

Adult: $6.00
Concession: $4.50
Child (age 10-14): $2.50
Family (2 adults, 2 children): $14.50
Children under 10 years are admitted free of charge and so are dogs.

During the summer months the Gardens may be closed to the public on days of Total Fire Ban contact Parks Victoria for further information about garden closers 

George Tindale Garden is a fantastic area that is dog friendly - please ensure that you have your dog on a leash and pick up after them so that everyone can enjoy this park and it stays on our dog friendly listing.

Please ensure that dogs are kept away from BBQ areas and children's play equipment - this is a requirement in most council areas in Victoria. 

When using on leash dog parks remember that not everyone likes to interact with dogs.  Please ensure that dogs are kept on a leash at all times in these parks and that you remember to pick up after your dog.

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after a long walk.
