Mornington Peninsula Shire Council About The Reserve: John Butler Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Mt Eliza Way in Mt Eliza. The park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. John Butler Reserve covers a large area and is perfect for dogs that need space to run around. The reserve has limited facilities but is a great place to exercise dogs. How to get there: John Butler Reserve is located on Melways Map 105 F2 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders street station catch the Frankston Train from Platform 8 to Seaford. Once in Seaford catch the 780 Bus towards Frankston and get off at the Nepean Hwy and Playne Street Stop. From this stop catch either the 784 or the 788 Bus towards Mornington and get off on Mt Eliza Way. John Butler Reserve is a short 200 meter walk south from the bus stop.Families travelling by car can park near the reserve off Mt Eliza Way. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding John Butler Reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available north of the reserve off Mt Eliza Way and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Dog poo bins are located near the toilets - no plastic bags are available so please remember to take your own. Toilets are located to the north of the reserve The off leash area at John Butler Reserve is a large grassed area Closest Bus stop to John Butler Reserve is located on Mt Eliza Way Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download: When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.
