About The Reserve: Kananook Creek Reserve is an on leash dog exercise area that is located between Seaford Road and Benton Avenue in Seaford. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. Kananook Creek Reserve extends for 5 kilometers parallel with the coastline. The reserve has several walking trails, most running along the creek and access points at several sections of the trails to allow access to surrounding residential roads and a foot bridge at the half way point which allows access across the creek to the Nepean Hwy and Seaford Beach. How to get there: Kananook Creek Reserve is located in Seaford on Melways Map 99 E5 - D10 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Frankston Train from platform 8 to Seaford Railway Station. Once at Seaford Railway Station catch the 780 Bus toward Frankston and get off at Seaford Road and Fortescue Avenue. The northern part of Kananook Creek Reserve is short 100 meter walk from the bus stop. Families travelling by car can park near the reserve in Mahoney Crescent to the north and Benton Avenue to the south. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Kananook Creek reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available in Mahoney Crescent to the north and Benton Avenue to the south and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Walking Trails - Located throughout the reserve Foot Bridge - located in the middle section of the reserve and provides access across the creek to the Seaford Foreshore area Tennis Club - located in the middle section of the reserve on the east side of the creek Canoe Launch Ramp - located near the foot bridge Closest Bus stop to Kananook Creek Reserve is located on the corner of Seaford Road and Fortescue Avenue Extra Information / On Leash Walk Sheet Download: Kananook Creek Reserve is a fantastic area that is dog friendly - please ensure that you have your dog on a leash and pick up after them so that everyone can enjoy this reserve and it stays on our dog friendly listing. Please ensure that dogs are kept away from BBQ areas and children's play equipment - this is a requirement in most council areas in Victoria. When using on leash dog parks remember that not everyone likes to interact with dogs. Please ensure that dogs are kept on a leash at all times.
