About The Reserve: Kananook Reserve is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off McCulloch Avenue in Seaford. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. The off leash area is located from Kirkwood Avenue to Bardia Avenue next to the Railway Station. The reserve is easily accessed by public transport and by car and Kananook reserve is close to other parks and reserves in the Seaford area. How to get there: Kananook Reserve is located in Seaford on Melways Map 99 F8 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Frankston Train from platform 8 to Kananook Railway Station. Kananook Reserve is short 50 meter walk from the train station. Families travelling by car can in the reserve car park off Eastern Avenue (near the Basket Ball Stadium). Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Kananook reserve - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available in the reserve car park off Eastern Avenue (near the Basket Ball Stadium) and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Dog Poo Bins - located near the toilets at the south western corner of the reserve Toilet - located next to the BBQ area BBQs - picnic and BBQ facilities are located at the south western corner of Kananook Reserve Children's Play Equipment is located to the south west of the reserve near the BBQ area Kananook Reserve has one sporting oval located to the west of the reserve Basket Ball Stadium - located to the north east of Kananook Reserve Closest Railway Station to Kananook Reserve is Kananook Station on the Frankston Line Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download: Kananook Reserve may be unavailable at times during the weekend due to sporting activities When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands. When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs. Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.
