Marley and Me follows the story of the Grogan family and their labrador retriever puppy Marley.  John and Jenny fall in ove with Marley the first time that they see him shortly afer deciding to get a dog for the first time.  This tiny puppy then grows steadily into an 80 pound destroying machine creating chaos everywhere he goes and everywhere the Grogans take him.

Despite the problems and chaos that Marley creates he becomes an integral part of the Grogan family sharing their joy and pain and providing everyone with moments to remember.  

The story of Marley is a touching and often emotional ride that many who know the pleasure and the pain of having a four legged friend as part of the family will definatly relate to.  This book is difficult to put down as you are compelled to keep reading to find out what could possibly happen next.  A must read for all dog owners - especially those with cheeky labradors.
