Dog Friendly Off Leash Parks Information for Yarra Valley |
|

When using off leash park areas throughout the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges Region please remember:
- Always clean up after your dog. Many council areas around this region provide dog poo bins and plastic bags for dog owners to do this. It is always a good idea to still take your own supply of 2 or 3 plastic bags as some areas do not always have plastic bags available all of the time.
- Check the signs for the off leash areas and obey the council directions when using the park. Some off leash parks are only available during certain times and days of the week - be sure to follow these restrictions as local councils are quick to fine people who break the rules. Cheeky Dog is as up to date as possible, but if you are unsure whether a park is off or on leash contact your council to check.
- Dogs off leash must still be under effective control at all times. Most councils do not allow restricted breeds to be exercised off leash in any of these public areas.
- Dogs off leash must be kept at least 50 meters from children's play equipment areas and public picnic areas.
