Parks and Reserves - Mornington Peninsula |
When using parks and reserve areas throughout the Mornington Peninsula please remember:
- Always clean up after your dog. Many council areas around
Melbourne provide dog poo bins and plastic bags for dog owners to do
this. It is always a good idea to still take your own supply of 2 or 3
plastic bags as some areas do not always have plastic bags available
all of the time.
- Check the signs for the off leash areas and obey the council
directions when usingthe park.
Some off leash parks are only
available during certain times and days of the week - be sure to follow
these restrictions as local councils are quick to fine people who break
the rules. Cheeky Dog is as uptodate as possible, but if you are
unsure whether a park is off or on leash contact your council to check.
- Dogs off leash must still be under effective control at all
times. Most councils do not allow restricted breeds to be exercised
off leash in any of these public areas.
- Dogs off leash must be kept at least 50 meters from childrens play equipment areas and public picnic areas.
