About The Reserve: The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve is an on leash dog exercise area that is located off Excelsior Drive in Frankston. This reserve is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions. The reserve has a large number of walking tracks and fantastic examples of flora and fauna and is accessible by public transport and by car. This reserve is a great place for dog walking as the area is quite large and is close to other dog friendly areas. How to get there: The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve is located in Frankston on Melways Map 100 C9 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car. From Flinders Street Station catch the Frankston Train from platform 8 to Frankston Railway Station. Once at Frankston Station catch the 830 or 831 Bus toward Dandenong and get off at the Excelsior Drive / Monterey Boulevard Stop. The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve is a short 30 meter walk past Tilia Court through the car park. Families travelling by car can park in the reserve car park at the end of Excelsior Drive. Parking is also available in the streets surrounding the Elwood Park - check signs for parking restrictions.
Facilities: Parking available in reserve car park at the end of Excelsior Drive and in surrounding residential streets. Please check signage before leaving your car. Dog poo bins are located in the car park area - no plastic bags are available so please remember to take your own. Walking paths - located throughout the reserve BBQs are located at the Frankston East Tennis Club - to the south east of the reserve The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve has a look out to the south of the reserve on the ridge walking track Closest Bus stop to The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve is located on the corner of Excelsior Drive and Monterey Boulevard. Extra Information / On Leash Walk Sheet Download: The Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve has clearly marked tracks that are various grades of difficulty. This reserve is quite large so let someone know when you are going and what time to expect you and your dog back just in case something unplanned happens. Please ensure that dogs are kept away from BBQ areas and children's play equipment - this is a requirement in most council areas in Victoria. When using on leash dog parks remember that not everyone likes to interact with dogs. Please ensure that dogs are kept on a leash at all times in these parks and that you remember to pick up after your dog.
