About The Park:

Darebin Parklands is an off leash dog exercise area that is located off Separation Street in Alphington.  This park is for use all year round with no time or day restrictions.  Darebin Parklands is easily accessed by public transport and by car and is a great place for dogs as the off leash area is away from main roads and there is plenty of room for the dogs to run around.  This off leash area also has areas for dogs to take a swim on hot days.

How to get there:

Darebin Parklands is located in Alphington on Melways Map 31 D9 and is accessible by both public transport and by private car.  From Flinders Street Station catch the Hurstbridge Train from platform 1 to Darebin Railway Station.  Once at Darebin Railway Station the parklands are located a short 500 meter walk down Salisbury Avenue.

Families travelling by car can park in the car park area off Separation Street.  Parking is also available in the streets surrounding Darebin Parklands – check signs for parking restrictions.

Extra Information / Off Leash Walk Sheet Download:

Darebin Parklands have a few areas that dogs are prohibited – please check local signage to ensure that you are in the correct area when exercising your dog off leash.

When using an off leash dog park it is important that you still have voice control over your dog and in the event that you need to call him/her back that they listen and obey your commands.

When using off leash dog parks remember that not everyone has well trained and socialized dogs.  Consider talking to other dog owners in the park before allowing dogs to play together.

Remember to take plenty of fresh water for your dogs as they will be thirsty after all that running around.
